Ed Hamilton, nicknamed the “Minister of Rum” built his brand on quality, accessibility, and transparency. A true rum scholar, he sources high-quality rums and blends them without unwanted additives. Hamilton False Idol Full Strength is no different. It was crafted after much testing and deliberation by Hamilton and False Idol’s Antony Schmidt before they settled on a blend of 85% Guyana and 15% Jamaican pot still rum from the Worthy Park Estate. The 154-proof Guyana rum and the 170-proof Jamaican rum are slowly stirred for 2 days before the blend is brought to 151-proof with filtered well water at the Five & 20 Distillery in Westfield, NY. It’s a bold and vibrant rum that works particularly well in tiki cocktails.

About Rum
