About Mayenda Tequila Blanco
Mayenda Tequila pays homage to the Aztec goddess of agave, Mayahuel, by summoning the lost flavors of the plant with two extra steps of craft and care. First, the roasted agave piñas are given a maceration treatment before undergoing final distillation, resulting in a luscious caramelized flavor and aroma. Then, the macerated base distillate gets harmoniously blended with the agave miel, the plant’s honey, for added depth and complexity. This laborious process guarantees that every small batch of Mayenda Tequila is of the highest caliber. Once the distinctive combination of flavors is complete, it enters the copper pot still to craft a rich, complex, and elegant sipping Blanco Tequila. The aromas unfold in layers, delivering a sturdy foundation of wildflower honey, cinnamon, and subtle top notes of orange blossom and fresh grass. Undertones of baking spices, fresh herbs, and pepper emerge and connect to the caramelized agave notes on the palate. Each sip reveals a new level of agave’s decadent expression interwoven with honey and roasted smash, leaving a lingering echo of citrus, honey, and baking spices.
