About Sông Cái Việt Nam Dry Gin
Founded in 2018 in Hanoi, Sông Cái Distillery is Vietnam’s first gin distillery, with a special mission to share the best botanicals the Vietnamese landscape has to offer. In the same breath, it is highly attentive to do so responsibly and respectfully, adhering to suitable foraging practices. The surrounding terroir of the Sông Cái Distillery is vast and biodiverse. It consists of many pivotal delta rivers—hence the name ‘Song Cai,’ which translates into “Mother River.” Sông Cái Việt Nam Dry Gin is a true trail-setter, as it is one of the Vietnamese’s first gins ever made, a truly audacious expression of Highland flavors, dried fruits, spices, and delicate wood. It is bottled at 45% ABV and made in a traditional dry-style gin using magical ingredients such as turmeric, jungle pepper, ginger, and black cardamom.

About Gin
According to Winston Churchill, “The gin and tonic has saved more Englishmen’s lives and minds than all the doctors in the Empire,” referring to the British officers using it to treat malaria in India.
Initially made for medicinal purposes, gin gets most of its flavor from the juniper berries added after the distillation process. It sure has come a long way from the Middle Ages, with the introduction of new botanicals, fruits, and spices, bringing it closer to people of all flavor varieties.
